"Forever," by VNV Nation.

It's a song with a very interesting history. It was written by a well-known New York DJ when his father was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, and recorded by one of my favorite bands, VNV Nation. The song was recorded with contributions by a number of different popular electronica/EBM bands like Apoptygma Berserk, Covenant, and Icon of Coil, and released under the name "Bruderschaft" (Brotherhood). All proceeds from the sale of the album go to cancer research.

It's an amazing song. My sweetie Steph introduced me to it last week, and I've been listening to it ever since.

Old Crow Medicine Show I'm particularly groovin' to "Down Home Girl", and "Let It Alone" is ummmm... revealing...
Pere et Garcon Zydeco
The Duhks-Migrations "Down to the River" grabs my attention, gets my foot tappin' and even causes me to sing-and if you've EVER heard three cats wauling...you'll recognize my voice.  And I love "Ol' Cook Pot"
Cracker and Leftover Salmon "Mr. Wrong" is a favorite
And of course Donna the Buffalo


And I forgot it was in the player...
Anita Sandler-My Heart is Young, My Soul is Old, I'm One of a Kind I'm Told.  "I Really Thought I Should Miss You" and Imaginary Man" are today's favorites

Thanks for the Donna the Buffalo link - they're off on the Norwegian Dawn. The cruise we were lucky enough to join in 2003. New York, Miami, Port Canaveral and Nassau and back again. We missed out on them though... sad.gif

Their pictures brought back very pleasant memories. Maybe... one day....

You mean Norwegian Dawn hasn't cruised since 2003?  smile.gif  
All we got was 'songs from the shows' - never my favourite music, South Pacific, Oklahoma and all that stuff... though the girls I took to see them 40 or so years ago loved them wink.gif
