Don't know if this will make you feel better or worse but I ran into some friends today and the subject of computers came up of course. Coincidentally they asked me if I knew of somewhere to go to rescue a hard drive. Seems a close friend's PC crashed and his entire business is on the machine and he had NO backup.

So far he has gotten an estimate of $1300-1600 to retrieve the info.
