Title: How to open .wmv files
Post by: jwboyd on November 23, 2009, 01:03:14 PM
I used to be able to play .wmv files in QuickTime Player.

What do I need to do, now that I use OS 10.6.2?

Thanks!

Joe

Codecs were removed from QuickTime Player in order to add features like screen recording (with sound!). QuickTime Pro is not even available anymore! The new features are included in that $29.99 price! clap.gif

I was having problems even after installing Flip4Mac.  I discovered, by chance, that it was real Player that was messing everything up - I deleted it and now all works well.  thumbup.gif

I am pretty sure that VLC can play .wmv files.
