It is with a good deal of sadness that I inform TS members of the passing of RHPConsult, one of the founding members of TS.
Richard had been ill and in failing health for sometime. His daughter Anne posted to FB that he passed today.

I never met the man in person, but had many, many FaceTime or Skype conversations over our long internet friendship, often as not including George Higgins. In the earlier days he would call me on his travels to Hawaii to ‘rub it in’ as I sat here in Minnesota in the dead of winter.  He was a great friend, smart, funny, and always willing to help someone with a problem, or looking to solve one of his own here on TS. 
I will miss him. :whoosh: :verysad:

Dick will indeed be missed. If you would like to post on FB to his daughter, you can (the post about her dad is public), but in the interests of her privacy, I won't post her name here. PM me if you'd like it.

I remember fondly the Ohio meeting he hosted, as well as our online conversations about our TomTom GPS devices. Truly "a gentleman and a scholar."

We were lucky to have known him, and from what I know, having been involved with TS since 2002, he was a kind, knowledgeable and gentle guiding hand in the early days of TS. We will miss him and the great humor and temperament he displayed here at TS.

Condolences, sympathy, and love to his family.

This is indeed a sad day. Dick was like an uncle to me and a good friend as well. Most of us old timers know how instrumental he was in creating TS, it wouldn't exist but for him. I will miss his soft, almost drawl of a voice which surely did not sound like the Ohio native I believe he was. His generosity was limitless and his love of all things Mac made a believer out of any skeptic.

Quite a guy. His legacy lives on.

One of the highlights of my life was knowing Dick and I thank TS for the introduction.
