Not actually a joke but an incident that still makes me chuckle...

Neighbour asked me to lend him a ladder to get at a blocked gutter. I said I'd come round and stand at the bottom to steady it as it was in an awkward position. "No, I'll get the missus to do that..."

I helped him take it round to his house and just parked myself at the base. He climbed up and took the end plate off the guttering, landing me with the inevitable shower... yea, bad planning  .

He came down chuckling but stopped and went almost white when I said: "Bet you're glad I didn't let your missus stand there..."

Shetland has been hit hard by snow, so Frances is likely to be a victim. I have not tried to contact her as I'm sure she has enough to do. Main problem is snow has frozen on to overhead power cables and brought many down. Energy bosses said this morning there were 3,800 without power on the islands.

What cracking Northern Light pictures!!!   Which iPhone do you have?   I’m still on 8-Plus.

Also, you might consider training Ted or Pepper to fetch slippers  :)

"personalized" and "color"

The 'z' rather than 's' and the lack of a 'u' indicates they have been Americanized

However the company is based in Nottingham, UK, where Robin Hood "worked"

I can only offer the UK link... but our offer on UK site is 89.99 GBP; however since our wonderfully short-lived PM "improved" our lives the GBP is only a few pence different from the US dollar.

The discount tells only that the discount will be "time-limited". 30-day trial available.

For your money you get all three apps - Designer 2, Photo 2 and Publisher 2 - for MacOS and Windows.

Purchase the Universal License for access to all apps on all platforms, or buy individual licenses of the apps—it’s completely up to you.

I'm very tempted, but I need to find a convincing reason...   :whistling:

Did your part of the world hear or read about one of our more flippant nationals that bought a lettuce and got a bookie to give odds on whether the lettuce would outlive Ms Truss’s premiership? The lettuce won  :D

Well they say laughter is the only alternative to crying.

Good morning (10.30am here) Jim

I’ve just spent  a couple of hours reading the comments and the replies from people who were involved in not just the ISS, but also the way computers developed. Loads of personal history including Atari - my first buy - Amiga, Sinclair and many others some of which are (were) unknown to me.

Get yourself a coffee and settle down as many contributors add to your knowledge…

With that in mind, we’ve taken 20% off the price of every product we have for sale, through September 30.

You don’t need a coupon code for this sale, because all prices on our store have been marked down. Simply purchase before the end of September to get the reduced price.

Penguin walks into a pub and asks for a pint of best. The penguin takes a gulp and turns to the barman... "Has my brother come in?"

Barman thinks for a moment and says: "Dunno, mate... what does he look like?"

Haven't heard of that one, Jon, but when I clicked, Safari told me the link was "Not Secure" so I'd be a bit wary of it.
