I always liked people's reactions to the broken glass sound! I remember one teacher had just started up a laptop and then was moving it when she heard that sound and thought she had broken it!

Not a Mac thing, but a techy noise scare.  Just closed the dishwasher door, having pressed the start button, and there was the most almighty machinery noise which seemed to come from the washer. Turned round to see better half had switched on the Dyson vacuum cleaner at the perfect moment to scare the wits out of me.


Hearing aids don't always give perfect directional hearing...  :)
