It is with a good deal of sadness that I inform TS members of the passing of RHPConsult, one of the founding members of TS.
Richard had been ill and in failing health for sometime. His daughter Anne posted to FB that he passed today.
I never met the man in person, but had many, many FaceTime or Skype conversations over our long internet friendship, often as not including George Higgins. In the earlier days he would call me on his travels to Hawaii to ‘rub it in’ as I sat here in Minnesota in the dead of winter. He was a great friend, smart, funny, and always willing to help someone with a problem, or looking to solve one of his own here on TS.
I will miss him.

I get Bookbub each day also.... and often pick up a freebie or $1.99 book to fill in the gaps while I wait for a release from my more favorite authors... Have found a couple of “keepers” but a lot that I don’t get beyond chapter 1 or 2.

Yes, I recall that he did the backups for TS for quite some time. I recall also that he and RHP got together a couple of times when Richard traveled to Hawaii.

My iPhone 6s displays “Likely Scam” when I receive a call with a ‘spoofed, number or location.
Usually the same ‘friendly’ voice announcing my ‘good luck’ for allowing them to waste my time... followed quickly by my hanging up....

Tech / Need recommendations for external HD & enclosure

My only recommendation is that IF you buy drive & enclosure separately, BE SURE they are compatible. By that I mean that some enclosures will work with drives upto 1tb but not beyond an some will only work with drives above 1tb. (Expensive personal experience w(OWC). Buying complete enclosure/drive puts that situation out of your hands and back on the seller... Has to do with chip set internal to case.

We only had a 1/2” of light and fluffy....easily handled by my trusty leaf/snow blower. Nice (but quite cold) sunshine brightened the rest of the day..
