Title: OT: TS chatroom at iChat

Hi everyone

In addition to Petra's call for iChat joiners, some already joined.
Now, after we talked about it, it sounded a great idea to make this iChat room some sort of permanent room.

Here's the simplicity of it(*):
use "cmnd+G" on iChat, it brings up a window, fill in the chatroom you want to join.
type "TS", you will now enter the TS chatroom
in case nobody made a chatroom TS at that point, you will create one by being the first "joining" that room.

Some problem you can't wait till people reply, just hop on iChat(*), go to TS chatroom and see if anyone is there and is able to help you out.
Pleaaaase, come have fun at the room
(*) if you use another AIM client (AIM, Adium, Fire or whatever i don't know off), i'm sure most of them have capabiliets of joining a chatroom.
Look for it or ask others to see how you can enter chatrooms if you can't find it.

on Adium, use "cmnd T" and type the room name (TS).

this is really awsome, within a few minutes the room was full of people.
nice to talk with the persons who give such good advice.
i hoop to talk some more in the coming days.
perhaps i will see some new people ?

I almost lost count of all the people that I've chatted with on iChat now... Karl was my first, then Marcel, Smiley, William, Bruce, Gary, Dick, John, Mike, Al, Diana..... I probably forgot half of them!

So join the fun!!!!!

In AIM, search the menu for something like "join a chatroom".
Than type in TS to join

Both AIM and ICQ both appear to direct me to their site and not offer the option to just join a chtroom. There are plenty of rooms, just not an option to join "just any ole chatroo", in other words, no way to just type one in....unless I'm missing something.....which we all know just couldn't be possible, now could it?

The way it worked for me is to send a chat invitation to yourself, change the name of the chat room to TS... It's the only way i could think of that worked.

AIM users, try "Command T" and then do what Jay said... It should work....

I'm going to bed, but I will leave the chatroom open so you can see if you made it in.

Had to send the invitation (command shift V) to myself, then change the room to TS, then it lets me in, but it opens an empty room, that if I close, shuts me out of TS.

Weird! way to communicate
