Yes. Depends on your Burner though.
Is it compatible with iTunes?
Have you been burning MP3s with it?

The cd burner is the internal one that comes with the G4 laptop. It is not a superdrive. The current verison of I tunes works on the computer. I have not been burning MP3'S with it. My goal is to be able to play the downloaded music with a regular CD player. I am confused because in most but not all of the literature says you need a superdrive.Thank you. ilw-00

You do not need a Superdrive to burn a music CD from iTunes. You can burn an audio CD from iTunes using any iTunes-supported CD recorder, including Apple's CD recorder.

Thank you. I will try it. ilw-00

You may want to experiment with differerent Formats.
Find something that will play in your CD Player.

Also, make sure you are burning as an Audio CD for use in a regular CD player. This option can be found in the iTunes preferences.
