Zune users will be able to view each other's playlists, recommend music and sample tracks in what Stephenson describes as a multifaceted music discovery experience.
Microsoft's iPod killer is a multifaceted music discovery experience? Run away! Run away!

Ok...here are a few thoughts:

1) Zune ?  Who ever came up with that name ?  Marketing flop.

2) The product isn't out yet, but they announce it, with yet a study undergoing 7 or 8 possibilities for using wifi connection ?  Hello ? Seems to me as you do your homework BEFORE announcing your product.

3) Havent figured out licencing issues yet...Good luck,  might take lots of times for copyrights lawyers to get down and figure things out.

"Hey! We've got to do something to get peoples minds off the delay and downgrading of the next version of Windows or whatever we're going to call it! What do you think we pay you PR guys for?"

Reminds me of: "I'm the leader! Which way did they go?"

And remember, you can't turn an 8,000 pound gorilla on a dime! eek2.gif Having a few billion in the bank sure helps, though...

BTW, VWJF, welcome back! Notice anything different? smile.gif

What do you think we pay you PR guys for?
That's multifaceted experience PR guys, of course.

The worst PR I can think of at the moment was a newspaper's real-estate "adver-news" story babbling about a new home's "bi-directional"stairs. Thanks to Microsoft, that will change to "a multifaceted stairway discovery experience." Especially if it's dark and the lights are off.
