Way back in Sixty-seven, a son of Minnesota – standing there,
Pledged a troth – to love-and-obey – his Ann, the damsel faire,
Now, midst the rolling fields, of Minnesota’s green and gold
As they look back on thirty-nine years, many stories could be told.
Join in to send the bride ‘n groom, best wishes quite sincere,
As Bob ‘n Ann commence to start, to close-in, on forty years.
From all across our TeeEss Land raise cheers for this pair, so fine,
Embellished with some wurst, und kraut, why . . . we’ll even heft a stein!
Congratulations, Bob and Ann!

Thank you all for the well wishes on our anniversary and especially to Richard for his poem.....
Thank you all for making TS such a great place to be associated with.
ABD - the wife was just talking about 'commitment' the other day, but if my memory serves me right, it wasn't along the same line you suggest?!?!?
Thank you all.

Congratulations!
A happy, healthy, and longlasting marriage is undoubtedly one of the greatest gifts God can bestow upon us.
It is a gift with strings attached, though-- Once undertaken, we are obligated to make mutual sacrifices, to comfort the other when we ourselves need comfort.
But there is nothing more wonderful than growing old with someone you know will be there for you, for better or worse, through sickness & health; and to have the joy & the opportunity to be there for them.
You know that saying, "A son is a son 'til he takes a wife; A daughter's a daughter for the rest of her life"? I think it is more like, "Children come, & children go; but your soulmate is forever."
God bless you both, Bob & Ann, and may you have many, many more years of good health and happiness together!
