But Kimmer's previous one had gotten up to 5 pages and I kind of thought that was getting a little long to scroll through! I printed it to a PDF for my futher reference.
Right now I'm reading 1634: The Ram Rebellion by Eric Flint & Virginia DeMarce. This is another in a series called The Ring of Fire which follows the alternative history of a small town in West Virginia that is picked up and placed into the Holy Roman Empire of 1631. The people themselves are just normal people and they bring off the equivalent of an American Revolution in the middle of the Thirty Years War; fun stuff! There is a homepage for this series:

Good plots, character development, and no off-color scenes or profanity.

I'm reading "Memorial Day" from Vince Flynn. Probably not the best choice since we are rolling into the anniversary of 9/11/01. It's a good read as always.
I got a FREE intro to Flynn's newest book (not yet published). It was a special offer of the first 8 chapters for folks who are members of his board. Whee!
Oh, I also did some stocking up. Amazon had this great deal (I think it's still going) of buy 4, pay for 3 -- so I bought some books.

Well, I wasn't meaning to imply I did it all in one page; although is there an option to decide how many things are on a page?

I finished "Memorial Day" from Vince Flynn. I'm not sure reading it over the anniversary of 9/11 was wise. I had 3 restless nights sleep. It certainly was an interesting book -- especially in light of 9/11 and what has taken place since then.
I'm now reading a Baldacci. I tried 2 other books, but they didn't grab my attention so I put them back on my shelf until later.
Has anyone read anything by PT Deutermann? He was recommended to me by someone else - but their taste in books is "iffy".

River of Lakes: A Journey on Florida's St. Johns River by Bill Belleville is the one Im reading now, another good one. Thinking of going there sometime this winter.

I've one read P. T. Deutermann which was "The Edge of Honor" and while it was a year or two ago I think I remember thinking it was pretty good although it bit bloody (it was about a Vietnam War vet). My father recommended it to me as I recall!
I put down a book I got at a garage sale and started reading Kevin Anderson's "Of Fire and Night" which the fifth in his Saga of Seven Suns. This is a very spreadout sort of Space Opera which is about humanity being in the middle of an age old struggle between elemental beings (creatures of earth, water, and fire) and other races. It's kind of a more personal style than something like the Foundation Trilogy and I have read each one as quickly as it's come out (this was published in 2006).

And there is a group of rich retired people here on Cape Cod who fly to all ends of the earth for the "meetings" of his fans.
They went to London and Sydney recently. They invited me to join, but they are a bit out of my league, to say the least. And all of them are pilots, and alas, I never learned to fly a plane.

. I'm now giving Umberto Eco's "Foucaults Pendulum" a go. It took me ages to get through "The Name of the Rose", but I'm prepared to give this one a go on the strength of that book.
