So now back to the problematic MacBook...
randomly, the screen started displaying some sort of interferance with like white lines of some sort across the screen.
to solve it tempoarily, tap the screen or "twist" it by moving both sides in different directions.
it seems like something that apple needs to take care of
but has anyone else had this problem or any problem with the monitor?
AND
is there a way to remove the hard drive without disecting the macbook?

resetting the NVRAM did not work

Don't know about the white lines problem - don't see much mention of that specific issue on the Apple forums.
Replacing a HD on a MacBook is pretty easy and doesn't require much disembowelment!

yea
when i send it in
i'm taking out the hard drive
and putting it in my sister's macbook
because i'm too lazy to back everything up
and i want my stuff
especially music

Called AppleCare
booted from the install disk
and repaired disk permissions and the disk
and now it works great
-
started acting up again
it's got to be a software glitch
because on the "locked screen" screen, you move the login box and the lines move
i'll try to take pix
