Working fine on my Macs here and my Windows machine at work. I don't really notice too much of a difference on the Mac side, but the Windows side has some nice improvements. Most noticeably the updated visual appearance/features and the better handling of non-standard links that people at work seem to like.

Downloaded and installed without any problems. Like giantmike, I didn't really notice any difference.  But, it works, so I'm happy. smile.gif

Too many extensions broke, and one of them, Ook, now is for SeaMonkey only. I went back to 1.5.0.7.

If Prefbar or Prefbuttons stay dead, I'll try to stick with this version or SeaMonkey as long as I can — which might be a decade or more, seeing as Mozilla 1.3.1 still works, sorta, in OS 9.

The good and the bad of extensions!

They are great for providing stuff that not everyone wants/needs.

They often break when the base software is updated.

I'll wait untill my main extensions all work in the new version...

I've always been disapponited that the native GUI parts of X have never been available in FF, part of its 'cross-platform' heritage, I assume. Camino is probably better at that, anyway...

Camino's pretty good. I've tweaked it through about:config and added a few things, included measures to block the worst of the ads, but it can't stack up against Firefox and Adblock, and SmoothWheel has spoiled me rotten. Surprisingly, SmoothWheel has not been updated for Firefox 2.0.

FYI -

Have noticed a problem with Firefox 2.0 here.  Seems that it won't play flash video content or Windows Media Viewer content on either of my fully up-to-date G5 iMacs running 10.4.8 (only Macs I have upgraded to FF 2).  There was a mention in the release notes about some Intel based Macs having trouble playing flash content and a fix for it ... but no mention of PPC Mac problems.  Haven't really had time to check further .... just decided to go back to 1.5.0.7 for the time being.

I have not used FireFox until now; several earlier versions were wonky on my Mac; I used Camino as my front-line browser for a year or two, but it seemed to become unstable a few months ago - lately I've been using Safari and Opera.

My first impression is how FAAAAAAAST it renders pages!  Yay!
