I voted G4 for my desktop, but I also have a G3 laptop. Can only vote once.
Another interesting poll might be "What OS are you using?" I use OS 9.2.2 & Panther on desktop & Tiger on laptop.

I had my heart set on a brand new G5 and almost got it. Then I saw a beautiful yellow and white 25 HP, 52 inch cut lawn tractor with a 10 cubic ft trailer @ about the same price and it has WHEELS!
Still using my 733 G4 Quicksilver and Titanium Powerbook but it sure is fun (and fast) mowing my acre of crabgrass and dandilions.

Jennie, we too are running 10.3.9 on my daughter's G3 Dalmation 500 Mhz iMac, and it was the consensus here at TS that Tiger would probably not work as well... too processor and memory intensive for that machine, fyi...

The laptop I am typing this on has a Core Duo processor. The MacPro to my left has two dual-core Xeon processors. The Cube on my right has a G4; the iBook next to it is a G4 also.
I have another G4 desktop system, and a system with a PowerPC 601 and a system with a 68000, at home. Next to them I have two systems powered by Zilog Z-80s, and a system powered by a 6502.

G4 MDD. And a 500 MHz G3 Pismo.
Keep waiting Gary. Those G5's will only get cheaper.
You have the 24" imac Harv? Leader!

Yes. And a delight that it is. By far, the best computer I've owned.

I also voted only once, citing (my principal DT machine) a 17" "Igloo", PowerPC G4 (3.3), 1 GHz, running 10.4.8
My Aluminum PB is a PowerPC G4 (1.5), 1.67 GHz, running 10.4.8
My wife's DT machine is a 20" iMac, PowerPC G5 (3.1), 2.1 GHz, running 10.4.8
We also have a Pismo – PowerPC 750 (83.2), 400 MHz, as an "archive" PB to deal with old, old files from equally old apps. It's running 10.9. on one partition and I plan to try 8.6 on a second.
NB: "Main" is a relative term.
