It’s more secure if your patient.
It has a glitch in icon locations.
Its takes an exxtra step to add music.
Major stumble on the floating layer of mini-programs but not FUBR.
The loss of Netmeeting, and a subtle attempt to have you purchase an expensive Office Program.
A good review and hopefully a secure product, for the consumer’s sake.
The downside is it’s full capability only applies to 6-10% of the existing hardware, and with the inevitable price increase in new computers, as a result of this improved OS, and the recent SP2 upgrade for Windows XP, I don’t see a real demand for this product.
The timing of this release gives me pause as well; they seem to want it to trickle out carefully rather than their usual tsunami of “desire promoting” must-have-ads. Attempting to avoid bad press perhaps while in it’s Beta phase?

Well, I'll not be one of those standing in line on January 30 (if there is a line, which I doubt, after reading Pogue's review) - for me, XP Pro via either Parallels or BootCamp (haven't decided yet) is going to be just the ticket, and allow me to fling that ugly beige box out the door.

The graphics still look 3rd gradish compared to MacOSX.

Rumor has it that we'll see it introduced at MacWorld.
I don't put much stock in rumors but it's about time and the graphics department must have been doing something all these years?
