Guess getting my snow blower tuned up last week helped us to 'avoid' most of what were were 'supposed' to get... 
About an inch of ice/sleet/'wintery mix' here
Possibility of 3-5" later on tonight into tomorrow.... Hope the 'snower blower voodoo' holds it off...

We just got rid of about 30" last week... could be more on the way, but we're not going to get a whole lot out of that storm you're getting Kelly... but the skiing sure is great right now! I only shoveled for a day and a half... Krissel got all the ice down there in New Jersey! And it has been a very cold February, even by Vermont standards!
But as our Poet Laureate has reminded us, the calendar marches on, and it will be warmer soon!
Indeed, let's all stay warm and healthy!

Gregg... grab a shovel, it switched over to all snow about 4:00 and has been coming down hard since..... with the wind still blowing and the ice previously... it will be a FUN night and well into tomorrow we're told (again, and again)...
Kelly.... for some reason I couldn't get your 'window' to work... using Safari...??
Hope the 'worst' has left your area.....
Sounds like Gregg and Loraine will get the worst of it...

Not really trying to rub it in to all you northerners. We had 16" of snow on the ground when we left NE OH last Friday. Sure is good to be back in Sedona!

Got the drive cleared... both before and after the plows were by
Lost our internet for a couple of hours (though not the cable TV???) Charter said they had 'outages in MN and NE and were working on them'...
For the most part, we dodged the bullet on this one, at least according to the weather 'hype' they were broadcasting earlier...

We are going to get some 'wintry mix' tonight, but not forecast to be anything compared to what you all got.
But anyway, we have a load of wood ready to go beside the wood stove, lots of canned goods, plenty of groceries(hit the store this morning), and some beer incase neighbours lose their power and come over here to get warm.
Seems the more we prepare, the smaller the storms are to hit us???
They have just changed our forecast, we will get almost nothing this time. So wont bother to fill the generator with gas.

I managed to “fall back” to the car in the garage, and leaned on it to within feet of the door, but couldn’t take the two steps over, much less the two steps up into the house. I ended up on my knees, then my stomach, and slithered, military style across the threshold and took a “magic carpet” ride down the short hallway - thank goodness for wood floors. I was to be stuck there for 6 hours!
During this time, my devoted wife was running around the house - finding medicine, talking to a nurse, getting ice for my back, running outside to shovel snow, you name it. Needless to say, without her, I would have been in BIG trouble!
Later, our son came over - after getting stuck twice in his little car just before getting to our house. He managed to help me get up, on my feet, and, um, seated - before he took our (much heavier) van to work. I had tried several times to get up off the floor myself - no go.
So now it’s less than 30 hours from the first piercing pain, and I’m upstairs, at the computer, feeling much better. My son spent the night here, and this morning “pinch hit” for his mom, who went to work.
So if you ever have a similar problem; ice on the spinal area, and warm moist compresses on the muscles is the way to go! I wasn’t getting better with dry heat, which I tried before finding out from the nurse that ice was first, followed by moist heat.

We just got home from a funeral for an elderly friend who fell down his stairs(he is a musician and all his stuff is in their cellar). He developed a blood clot and that was the end, so very very sad. If you have any odd pain afterwards, I would suggest having an MRI, if they had done that for our friend, he would be still here playing his music.

I will, I will. I wanted to get through this winter with the "old" one. I think it's less than 10 years old.
I didn't make it through the summer with my old lawn mower. It served me for 21 years.
Some here think I need a new Mac as well. But, this one is still working.
I plan on keeping my wife and son permanently.

I'm doing much better, thanks. Still not going to work. I usually park quite a way from the office. The closest I could get is a lot "kitty cornered" from our building. I might have to do that for a few days.
One (of several) reason(s) we moved from our last house was the very steep driveway. It was difficult to pull the snow blower up it, and still not too safe when I figured out that I could let it propel itself (and me) back up the hill. I fell on my hip once, and decided right then and there that this was not the last house I would own. Gotta love this winter injury season - NOT. (BTW, found the receipt tucked in the manual. Bought that "old" thing in 1994 - same year we got our first Mac.)

Ah, Gregg, you MIGHT want to think about moving the purchase of the new snow blower up a tad....Like maybe RFN....Sounds like a repeat of the last one is coming through beginning tommorow night.
Same 'track', same results (snow depth, wise) and mayhaps much more ICE...
Local prognosticators say it will 'stall out' over central WI. on Thursday, "resulting in significant accumulations"
Forwarned is four armed!?!?!?
