I've been using Safari a great deal the past 2 wks. after I got tired of the way FF downloaded -- or didn't -- things. Safari handles the downloads seamlessly, whereas FF was hanging up the entire browser while it loaded the download window and then it was S _ L _ O _ W during the download process. Things were taking *hours*, when they only needed minutes. Worse, they often timed out at the end. So I switched to Safari to download and just started surfing with it. I do have things I don't like about it, but it's livable.
I may give this SafariStand a whirl.

'Integration' is OK for some things, but when it starts code bloat and sluggish performance, it's time to look for better and more efficient ways.
