I guess I'm edumacated now, after 36 years.
Got a job and feeling pretty good about it.
It's in my hometown, so absolutely no commute (I could walk to work if I had to)......and the hours are 8-5, M-F.
Oh, and they let me write code for a living.
I'm sure I'll have questions for you all....honestly been away from OS X for awhile...this box still runs Panther, so I'm not TOO terribly behind.
Anyway, good to be back a bit more now, maybe........
Take care, all.
Chris

I moved this to our new Community Forum.
A perfect example of what it's for.

Nice to see you here again . . . and especially bringing such splendid news
You have certainly earned special TS accolades, not only for this acomplishment but for the dedication that kept you on the path to such a worthy goal through many years when you undoubtedly had to deal with many and different competing demands. That kind of persistence calls for an extra cheer, or two.

It was a tremendously long haul (finished over the last 2.5 years after starting and stopping more times than I care to mention.....).
At least it's done and back to work now.....
Thanks again for the warm wishes and welcome, TSers.

Most of those who attend college, are (only) there because their parents either did or did not go to college.
But others, such as yourself, went to learn and to better their lot in life. All the more credit to you!

Harv -
Yeah, I'm the first in my family to get a bachelor's. It's truly an honor for me. I know it's what my folks wanted, and so did I, despite my opinion of that two weeks ago looking into my last finals......

Ubuntu works for me too as little as I use it.
