I recently bought a webcam that has a built in microphone, but the connector is for a PC. I either need to get an adaptor so I can plug it into the Mac mini jack or get a microphone for a Mac. I have been leaning toward a USB 2 microphone and headset. I was wondering if anybody has had any experience with such and what they would recommend?

macdoug, I use a http://www.macspeech.com/product_info.php?...products_id=251 which is the only one recommended for high quality voice recognition. It is also used in Dragon Naturally Speaking, so I have two of them.
This is probably overkill for you, and if I had a choice back when purchased I would have bought a stereo headset with Mic.
check out this list http://www.macspeech.com/support/index.php...kb&print=25
if it's used in macspeech it will work on a mac.

What I was really wondering if anybody has had experience with a USB 2 Microphone and Headset? The webcam that I bought is supposed to work with iChat and I want to use it with Skype but I need a microphone at least. The webcam has a built in mic but the male end is for a PeeCee and will not plugin to the Mac mini plug. it is the size of the speaker outlet.

I am not good at this stuff, not knowing much about the media and audio and video stuff yet, but for Skype I bought the USB iMic,

And it works great.
