Yahoo! Photos is Closing
We're sorry. Yahoo! Photos is closing on September 20, 2007 so we are no longer accepting new accounts or allowing users to upload photos if you don't already have photos in your account. We've decided to focus all our efforts on Flickr - the award winning photo sharing community that Time Magazine has even called "completely addictive". Why not head over to Flickr for a look?

Apparently Yahoo is offering to move the pictures for registered users to any of these sites:
Flickr, KODAK Gallery, Shutterfly, Snapfish, or Photobucket
At least they gave warning.

We've had a lot of those type people around this area for as long as I've lived. One of the craziest names for a company I've ever heard of. It's never been used in a positive way that I know of.
But then, there are people who are still buying Vonage even with its idiotic theme 'song' and it's well publicized patent infringement problems/costs. Takes all kinds, I guess

They actually said they were going to do this over a year ago when they bought Flickr.
In other words, you can't count on anything these yahoos say anyway...
