Oh, my; it seems like I just "talked" to him!  This is so sudden!  Well, I guess it's sudden as I don't know about the overall state of his health or anything!  I was going to post a topic but now I feel it would be trite and I'll give it a rest!

He was always so helpful to so many Mac users for many years. (He was also a fellow Philly guy.)

I'm sorry to hear this. My condolences to his family.  sad.gif

He was around from the beginning of my Internet experiences. He was at NoWonder and about every other Forum I've spent much time at. He's helped untold thousands of people. Many here.

For those that aren't sure. He had a Cowboy Avatar with a big mustache here.

Goodbye Bob.

Bob - many have benefited from your help on computer problems, and from having you on our site.
Blessings on each member of his family.
Thanks to those who shared Bob with us.

I am profoundly saddened to hear of BobW's passing.

He was one of our wisest heads (and generous hearts) in knowing so much and sharing it so readily through informed and elegant prose that never required reinterpretation.

BobW and I had some exceedingly helpful exchanges in TeeEss threads over the years, as well as via some very pleasant PMs

Thank you Jennie for finding this NoWonder link.

We can only hope that his family receives this thread, so to learn that others share the sorrow of their loss.

I can't say it any better. As someone's signature here says, "be thankful that it happened", or in this instance, be thankful that we knew Bob for as long as we did.

My condolences to his family too, I know that he must have been a wonderful person, just from his posts and how he helped people.
Tis indeed sad when the world loses someone like Bob.  I admire people like him, as these are the people who make life great for their families and friends.

It saddens me to see this. Bob Wood was a long time trouble shooter here and around the Mac Community. His presence and advice will be sorely missed.

I've dreaded the day we are informed of the loss of a member. We may never know in some cases but this time we at least have a chance to acknowledge all that Bob contributed to TS.  He was here from the beginning as a former NoWonder contributor.
Every once in a while someone would ask if RobW and BobW were the same person. Oddly they both are from the Philly area.

Thank you bobw for all your wise and helpful advice over the nearly 7 years at TS.  You will be greatly missed.  sad.gif

I too am very saddened. We hardly know one another here at TS, except from the quality and tone of our posts. I have some precious online friendships that have been developed with other TS members as a result of our interaction here in these forums, and while BobW was not one of them, I can only imagine how the rest of you feel. His posts were always insightful, thoughtful and very helpful. A great contributor and very, very wise man.

BobW, you will be sorely missed here at TS.  notworthy.gif

My condolences to his family as well.

Goodbye Bob, and Happy Trails.

Words are a poor for communicating our true feelings and the value of many acquaintances. Hope one of you "NoWonder" folks can get this thread to others who knew Bob. A reminder that we may be living our last day on this planet! Thinking.gif

I didn't know Bob but from the many comments on this and other Mac boards, he was a great guy, always willing to help others.

I offer my condolences to his family at this sad time in their lives.

He will be missed, but not forgotten!
