Oh, Ray Bethell.

He's good -- no -- he's GREAT!

They talk about him at the kite festivals around here.

Everyone is in total awe of this guy.

That unfaked, real deal video shows why. smile.gif

Thanks for the link, ABD ... even if you are a skeptic. harhar.gif

I've seen him in person; not necessarily with this particular act but something almost equally impressive.  There are a number of kite people that are close to being that scary good; but he's at the top I believe!  The thing that worries me about him is that skin color!  Not at all good to be that color!   Thinking.gif  I believe he needs at least a SPF 2000!

Like watching the Thunderbirds.  wink.gif

The multiple man competitions are very impressive as well. Check out the other videos on that site.

As to his skin:

QUOTE
Long exposure to the sun's UV rays can cause permanent damage to unprotected eyes. Always wear sunglasses when flying on sunny days even if you're not directly facing the sun. And don't forget to apply sunscreen to protect your skin as well.

Maybe it's an oddity of the video itself but I thought he was tanned like a saddle!  We used to have a guy who worked at KU that everyone called the "Tan Man" and he was generally that color from spending every minute he could with his shirt off!
