Title: Recommended Reading, if you will
Post by: RHPConsult on October 16, 2007, 10:45:18 AM
I met for the first time yesterday, a young executive (former investment banker) who's a new "Switcher". He would benefit from a brief, comprehensive set of "principles" to get up and running quickly (now w/Tiger). I recall that O'Reilly was publishing a small (4x6x1 approx) volume that seemed useful, which I duly presented to a couple of people 2 years ago or so, in similar circumstances.

This gentleman is about as far away from "Dummy" status  as you can imagine. Anyone out there have a recommendation for some reading?

Much appreciated.

While some of this may be pretty basic, Apple provide some useful tips:

Other:

There's a forum for switchers which seems to have a fair bit of activity:

This page at the switch to mac site that Paddy linked has a lot of useful 'tricks'.
