Could we have more information? Is this while you are listening to an internet radio station or while playing music already on the PB?

Are you running a lot of other programs at the same time? Or is there another program that might be hogging the processor?
How much RAM do you have? Is the visualizer running? Did it play the music OK before?

Here's a review of iTunes 2 from way back with lots of comments up to this year:

It's while playing music already on the wallstreet...itunes (allowed 16 Mo) alone, but with  the visualizer.

Got only 195 Mo so i run whith  virtual memory on,  ...maybe that's why ...?

Thanks

Try turning off the visualizer - it's a major memory hog if I recall. smile.gif

You could also try allocating more memory to iTunes itself, but that's only if turning off the visualizer doesn't work.

Yup, you don't really have a lot of RAM for running iTunes with the visualizer especially since that machine did not have a lot of Video RAM either. Any other applications running will also have an effect. But it you are only using the machine to play music you could experiment with assigning iTunes more RAM. Check under "About this Computer" to see how much you are using while iTunes and the OS is running. Then you can see how much more you can afford to give iTunes.

Tryed whith 24 Mo for itunes...whithout the visualizer , but got the same results, maybe it's the virtual memory cause i think i can hear a disk access when the drop arrives...?

You're probably right. If it goes to the disk for VM while running iTunes music it just may not be able to keep up. Don't know how much the OS is using or other applications, but you might up the memory more in steps to see it you can hit a level where it will play smoothly.

OH, NICE!

You have some real talent! Those are beautiful. Do you have a website or have you produced any CDs?

I downloaded them to add to a CD I'm compiling of various musicians for easy listening. (I did it by copying the info from the page source -- didn't register so the download doesn't show in the stats on your page.)

Now I see why you were so anxious to get iTunes to play without interruption. smile.gif
