Title: Mac Mini USB power

Hi, I have a USB DAC( digital Analogue converter), the unit is supposed to shut itself off when the computer shuts down, and was doing so until I installed leopard. While I was trying to determine whether it was the computer or the DAC I realized that if I unplug the Mac Mini from the power supply the DAC shuts off.  Is there some new setting that continues to power the USB ports even after shutdown?  ( possibly for charging devices)    Mac Mini 1.83 Ghz OSX 10.5.1

Even though it referred to iTunes, it is still the same situation. Despite the confusion by some responders it echoes your problem. The last poster has noticed it as well.
