A husband and wife were fighting over something trivial.
However, both of them adhered to their respective positions without budging an inch, and since yelling at each other wasn't about to solve the problem, they decided they would each ask 10 friends to come, and they would ask the 20 people so assembled to act as a jury.
The husband got 10 of his best friends to come right away.
Meanwhile, the wife got all 10 of his friends' wives.

Nice one, Dick...
Reminds me of a true story told by neighbours.
He and his wife had been discussing how they would share out a big Lotto win. Each declared how much they would give to each brother and sister, nieces, nephews, etc. However, since the wife came from a much larger family than the husband this degenerated into an argument about one side getting more than the other....
They told us that this became quite a heated row before common sense prevailed and they decided they would share the winnings 50/50; each could then give what they liked to who they liked.
They were laughing as they told us all this and, when we asked why, they admitted: "We don't actually play the Lotto because we don't agree with gambling"
