Is anyone having trouble with iTunes 7.6?
I am.
I upgraded it since I haven't had any problems in the past but 7.6 seems to be a bummer.
It doesn't work at all. I get the spinning beachball and doesn't work. I have to force quit it.
I have a downloaded copy of iTunes 7.5 which I'd like to go back to but I'm not sure how to downgrade.
Can I simply trash iTunes 7.6, reboot, empty the trash and install iTunes 7.5?
System 10.4.11.
Any help wound be appreciated.

You will also need to remove the receipts and plists.

I have this upgrade in my packages folder, but I've not yet installed it. I think I'll wait.

Thanks Krissel.

I hope it works.
I installed it using Software update and it's just a bad download. Apple messed this version up.

It didn't work. I had to reinstall 7.6. It still doesn't run right. Maybe Apple will have a fix soon.

<MacFixIt> reports others with 10.4.11 having problems, also. Their edited suggestions for correcting:
1 Reinstall QuickTime (not clear if this is 7.6 or an older version, you do have the archived original, don't you?)
2 Remove ~/Library/com.apple.quicktime.plugin.preferences.plist
3 Remove QuickTime Plugin.plugin (from /Library/Internet Plugins)
4 search for conflicting, third-party plugins and remove them
Take a look at the comments, also, seems the ...plugin.preferences.plist solved most peoples problems.

It turned out to be a 3rd party program called iLike that was installed by my son. After tossing it iTunes 7.6 works just fine now.
