Title: Happy Birthday Ray!
Post by: gunug on August 24, 2008, 07:55:12 PM

Ray Bradbury celebrated his 88 birthday on August 22nd and I am ashamed to say that I believed he had gone onto stranger worlds!  There is an absolutely great speech by him on YouTube (linked through the LA Times):

I also didn't know that he wrote the screenplay for the 1956 version of Moby Dick with Gregory Peck. WOW!!!
Note: the YouTube is 54 minutes long so get comfortable.
