Title: Macbook question
Post by: daryl66 on October 20, 2008, 01:13:46 PM
Given the possibility that the IMAC may be on its way to a fatal trip south Hurt.gif I am considering a new 13 inch Macbook. The absolute requirement for it to support the "Mirror" capability may be the final determining factor.   I know that the G4 Macbook did NOT.  So far I have been unable to find a clear picture of the keyboard layout to see if the F7 key(or any other F key) is similar to the G4 Powerbook. What reading I have been able to find "kinda" indicates that it does Paranoid.gif

The external adapter Here seems to indicate that it does.

My local AAD has closed his doors and the closest Apple Store is 300 miles away, so to actually  "touch" one will be difficult. wish.gif

Anyone know??? laptop.gif

From the technical specifications page at the online Apple Store:

"Extended desktop and video mirroring: Simultaneously supports full native resolution on the built-in display and up to 2560 by 1600 pixels on an external display, both at millions of colors"

Thank you Mayo.   I could not seem to find that sentence, but that is exactly what I was looking for. No reason not to do it now if and when.
