I now find myself with a spare isight camera, is it possible to hook it up to a pc that has firewire?

So it sounds like the answer is "sort of." BTW - I think there is a fairly healthy demand for these cams still - eBay's sold listings show prices from $60 to $195 CDN (the $195 one was brand new).

George, I don't know about your neck of the woods but on this side of the pond stand-alone Apple iSight cameras seem to fetch a premium price on eBay.  Last spring I sold my barely used iSight (hooked-up twice...) to a friend for $125.  When I was checking recent sales at the time the camera was going for $175 and higher on eBay.
