Title: Apple meets iPhone sales goal, reports $1.14B profit

And the stock price closed at $91.49, a drop of 7.06% since this morning. However it's gone up to $97.17 in after hours trading, regaining almost all of that loss.

Ended at $103.  Let's just hope it stays up.

Yeah, and the iPhone outsold the Blackberry too...

And by the next quarter the iPhone market will be saturated and blackberry will continue with an overwhelming market share.
Apple is doing well but they haven't made enroads into the real PDA market yet, they're just playing at the fringes with a product that dazels with audio and touchscreens, while Samsung plays to the photo buyer with an 8 MP cameraphone and LG with a 5 MP cameraphone for $200 unlocked. Blackberry hold the business user and government accounts.

Creating a new gizmo may have worked in the past but in time when loose change is being saved, business and government will still have their accounts and purchase or replace equipment, trust fund babies and macgeeks may find it harder to impress their friends and strangers with the latest gizmo from his Steveness and move to a trend known as frugality. wink.gif
