Crossover Mac is a version of Wine - you can run Windows programs without installing Windows.

Note: you need an Intel Mac in order to use and the list of apps that work flawlessly is not particularly long.

I had just seen an article in the on-line post of Pioneer Press out of St. Paul, and was about to plunk it down here when I saw your post.
Seems like a ''limited' list of players that might be able to / want to use this... but, FREE is FREE!!

But you already said they were Windows programs...

BTW, I always thought Wine was an appropriate name for that app. Should make many PC users feel "at home!"

Tried the site first thing this morning and it would appear to have been over publicised the end result being that it had crashed.

They've got one page up now - and you CAN download the Crossover Mac app - the linked files at the bottom of the page do download. I grabbed Crossover Mac - may put it on my son's iMac for kicks. Already have Parallels on the MBP. smile.gif
