The audacity of anyone even questioning why MS does anything apparently didn't fluster Mr. Balmer. Or maybe there weren't any chairs around to throw at the anarchist? MacDaily reports that Mr. Balmer said that MS might take a look at WebKit toolbox, now in use by practically all other browsers, other than FF and Opera. But, he said, MS will continue to develop "proprietary extensions that broaden its functionality." Oh great! I was afraid they might lose their staunch resistance to web standards everyone else is trying to achieve. So, it looks like there will continue to be a big audience for better browser for quite some time!

It was Bobby Knight. But he went undercover after that incident. Kept his job, but changed his name to Bob Knight.
