They announced it in May, but it hasn't gone into mass production until now. Blazingly fast, at 2 to 3X the sequential read of the current crop of SATA drives.

My iMac could use one of those. Wonder if you can adapt from a 3.5" socket to a 2.5" drive.
I'd also like to know where to sign up to be pre release tester for cool new toys...err important technology like this... PM me if anyone knows!

There are some 3.5" SSDs out there - none by Samsung though. SimpleTech are supposed to have two (a 256GB and a 512GB) but darned if I can find them anywhere.

Think about it... In a few years "old fashion" hard drives will probably be ancient technology and solid-state drives will be plentiful and cheap. It (almost) never fails to happen...
