We used to eat it a lot, back in the 1950's. I should get a can and see if it brings back some memories when I taste it again.

When I worked in the wild places (for a mining company doing exploration), we carried it as part of our food supplies as we had no refrigeration...but that's the only way I could stomach it...fried, with plenty of mustard to make it go down easier. biggrin.gif  wacko.gif

Believe me, you can have Spam most anywhere down there (choosing your eating establishments carefully) just about anytime you want.

I've always found it curious that Spam is still so widely available on, especially, breakfast menus.

Portugese sausage is a "healthful" alternative ohmy.gif .

Both are a just a little less efficient than having the cholesterol injected directly into  your veins.   biggrin.gif

Actually I have a magazine shoot tomorrow involving the person at Earthlink who is in charge of their anti-Spam efforts.

I want to have these on hand as possible props.

Some of you may remember that our local FOE has hosted a Spam® CookOff for the past 5 years.  OY!, the concoctions I've seen!

Your photo shoot with Earthlink caught my eye. Spam isn't a problem for me, but my wife as a much simplier Earthlink address.

She gets about 70-80 spams a day. Two weeks ago we installed their Spaminator software and darned if the spam flow didn't drop.

Now it's "only" 56-70 a day.  police.gif  wallbash.gif

Yum! clap.gif I can go for some of that!  Hawaii consumes the most Spam of all the 50 states. Look.gif  jawdrop.gif

Spam can be used to dress just about any dish.  My favs are small slices in saimin and fried slices, two eggs easy over w/ two scoops white rice for breakfast.  I bet my colesterol level reflects it too.   rolleyes.gif
