Title: Safari and WMP media files....
Post by: Al on May 21, 2003, 04:10:32 AM
download WMP media files first before opening it in the player?

Wierd, other browsers just stream the file from the server it's coming from, Safari actually downloads the file, then starts the player and plays it.  I don't need the file itself, but do need to see the video.

Try this out with your Safari, you'll get a nice 1Mb file before WMP starts up.

Still don't know why Safari downloads those WMP files, instead of streaming them like it should.  Maybe it's time for a bug report.
