What can't it be used for.

Or check out the main site:

and go to the quick links...some pretty funny stuff there!
Whatever did we do before duct tape?

Duct tape is OK, but gaffer's tape is MUCH better. Anyone who has used duct tape knows that it tends to leave a sticky residue on anything it touches. Gaffer's tape sticks as well (or even better) than duct tape but it leaves behind NOTHING when it is removed.
'Course, gaffer's tape is around $10/roll, but you get what you pay for. Permacel is a top brand for a buck or two more than others, but worth it. You can find the stuff at photo stores that cater to pros, as well as movie supply houses and online sources.

Couple other places to read all about it.

Most interesting thing I realized was that it really was called ducK tape originally. I used to constantly correct people to ducT tape but now I won't say a word.

As Johnny Carson used to say, "I did not know that" krissel.

Where did I read about a college scholarship to the teen with the most creative dress/tux made of duct tape?

Good one Bill! I remember receiving that pic in my e-mail ages ago. Still as good now as it was then.

I think duct tape has it’s limits, although I buy it in the three pack and store it in my Hurricane Kit along with a roll of plastic sheeting. I find that Aluminum Tape works really well in certain instances or Moon phases.

"The corrosive force of the mighty Pacific Ocean is no match for the AFDB. As an added bonus, electric fields generated by the interaction of aluminum and salt water may act as a shark deterrent."
Think I'll run down to the beach and give that a test SB.
