Wow. I wonder if Mr. Dvorak ever gets tired of being wrong. Some more gems from ol' Johhny-boy's keyboard:
John Dvorak: Apple should pull the plug on the iPhone
John Dvorak: Time to short Apple? The iPhone will be hugely successful for a couple of quarters until the fashion goes stale. By then, the functionality will be duplicated by others and Apple will be treading water.
John Dvorak: Apple will abandon OS X in 2006, Adopt Windows Instead
John Dvorak: Apple Needs to Make OS X Open-Source; Boot Camp shows that Apple is planning to test making OS X available for PCs (2006)
John Dvorak: The iPhone goes against what the phone industry wants, is unlikely to be a success
John Dvorak: Apple will do nothing new with the Mac, should discontinue Macs altogether (2002)
John Dvorak: "The Macintosh uses an experimental pointing device called a ‘mouse’. There is no evidence that people want to use these things. I dont want one of these new fangled devices."

Many describe him as a "professional" troll. I'm just not sure about the "professional" part...
But his outbursts do create a lot of hits on his site, I suppose. I just wait to see what his latest blunders are on other sites.
I'm beginning to wonder how many 'feet' this guy has!

Once again, as he has so many times in the past, Tacit has done another great service for all TeeEssers: plumbing his vast body of knowledge, then economically disposing of an "issue" once and for all with conclusively persuasive data.
aka . . . Bingo !

After listening to TWIT for the past few years It has become obvious that even Dvorak doesn't believe the stuff he writes. He truly is a troll and he is proud of it. For those of us that know better, Dvorak's wild assertions seem naive or just plain dumb, but he has managed get a lot of attention and drive a lot of traffic to his columns etc... The ethics in this kind of journalism are questionable at best, but it has definitely produced the effect he is looking for.
