I would have sworn I took the glass out of my 24" iMac which would have required removing the aluminum frame. And I absolutely know I would not even try that without instructions! Where I would have seen them, I do not know. OTOH, that is probably a much simpler operation that actually doing some kind of hardware removal/replacement. So, thanks for the link!

Also a good time to remind everyone to make sure any and all air intake vents are clean! On most iMacs, there is a smallish grill just below where the monitor attaches to the stand.
