Title: What B5 Taught Me...

JMS became in a lot of ways a sort of "hero" to me... some of the reasons are in this text.

Especially the part about believing in your dreams...

... just another one of the world's dreamers... as Bill says... "see me"...

QUOTE
His motto is that if you really believe in something and you follow your dreams, you can make them come true, no matter how hard it is.  This is something I believe in myself, and have often referred to Joe's beliefs and episodes in the show when things got difficult in my life.  My wife and I have learned that sometimes we have to make sacrifices for the greater good, to believe in ourselves, and to follow our dreams.

I'm getting quite Fond of Farscape. smile.gif

Since it's been cancelled, the Sci-Fi Channel is running it from the beginning.

Some Episodes are just tremendous, IMO.

I started watching it in it's last season.

Interesting watching it develop. smile.gif

Hi Dezz! Welcome to the board...  biggrin.gif

Yes, Babylon 5 became very important to me too... it might sound a little eerrrr, "weird" to some people... fact is most of my friends here in Calgary thought I'd gone off my rocker for good!

Aside from the quote I left above... I too was lucky enough to meet Joe (JMS), when he surprised the **** out of us by coming to a small SF convention here... who'd have thought we'd be a "draw" to him. Further near the bottom of the text I linked to the fellow and his wife mention meeting him at I-CON '97 which is certainly more of an event than we are.

Anyway... be careful! wink.gif I could go on forever and "drop" all my B5 "stuff" on you!   wacko.gif

Kelly...

I like Farscape too... they've picked it up on our SF channel "Space"...

I've got to admit I wondered if that channel would fly when they started it, but it's really good! One thing I love about it is that they don't show as many commercials as other channels so it allows for "no" cuts on syndicated shows at all and there's always about 4 minutes or so before the next show starts where they show scientific tidbits or the newest images from Hubble in full colour with captions for explanations... costs us a bit more than other channels... they've put it in "tier 3" in the cable packages, which is the most expensive one but  taped.gif

I think it's worth it... not often I say that about TV!!
