Hi,
To listen to iTunes in my wife's car via the cars speaker system, I use an FM transmitter. Although some podcasts are easy to listen to others such as This American Life are almost inaudible. I wonder what FM transmitters members of the forum have liked the best. Thank you

Can ONLY go on past (unfavorable) experience...
Had a couple of different FM/tuner connectors for our iPods in my wife's VW Jetta....... Bad quality sound, no matter what we tried...... different stations / volume / etc. Always had poor quality 'reception'.... Now, that may have just been the car's radio, but it sounded great when not iPod connected. And right now I can't tell you what they were but I suspect at least one was a Belkin setup and I'm not sure of the other. Also this was some time ago, so newer, more current equipment may be miles different in quality... but also I know that "most" newer auto come with an input jack that you can connect your iPod via... (again "most", but not all).
Sorry I can't help with the selection/referral process... just giving on person's experience.

After reading bad review after bad review of FM transmitters for iPods, we went the cheap and easy route - got one of those tape adapters. Worked great, until it died after a couple of years. So we got another one. $20. Can't go wrong - as long as your car has a tape deck, that is, which I would assume are going the way of the dodo? Our cars are not exactly new - a 2004 Toyota Sienna and a 2001 Honda Accord, both bought used in the last couple of years with extremely low mileage - they should keep us going for a while yet. I'm assuming that our next cars will have iPod ports on the dash.

If you want to add a connector to your car stereo (the best option for sound quality etc.) check this out: http://pac-audio.com/
Unfortunately, the Sienna has a 6 disk changer and a rear seat DVD system (which we certainly weren't looking for, but the car came with it - the kids have used it maybe 3 times in 2 years), so we cannot install one of these.
