Title: Mobile me/Firefox issue with new MBP
Post by: daryl66 on March 18, 2010, 11:45:31 PM
Whenever I open Mobile Me in the new MBP it opens in what looks to be a sidebar. I cannot seem to find a way to get it to open in a full window. It appears to be a tab but when I attempt to close the tab Mobile Me goes away. Works fine in Safari

I have taken a screen shot but cannot seem to remember how to post it here. Must be past my bed time.

To post a screenshot go to Add Reply.
Below the text box you will see "Choose File", click on it and navigate to select the image on your computer.
Click "Choose".
You will then see a file listed in the little window by the "Choose File" button.
Now click "Upload".

To the left of that area you will notice "Attachments" with a pull down called "Manage Current Attachments (1)".
Click on the pulldown and the name of the attachment will come up with a green and a red icon to the left.
Click on the green icon to place the code for the image in your text area.
Note that the image will go where ever the cursor happens to be at that time. You may have to move the code if it ends up in the wrong place.

This image shows what it looks like with the Golden Wine skin. Some others may have the Attachments buttons in a different place.

OK   Lets see if I can follow the directions.    This is what I am talking about.  It opens Mobile Me in a sidebar. There must be a FF preference or something that I cannot find.   It works just fine on the Mini and with Safari

Well, the problem is right there in the Title bar! "Mozilla Firefox" tease.gif I'm bettin' that half-screen thing won't happen in Safari (or Camino, Chrome...). dntknw.gif

Must have been past FF bedtime also. Powering the MBP back up this evening  the issue disappeared.  All is well in FF land now.???

ABD:  U R correct neither  Safari or Opera exhibited the problem.  Equal opportunity for all.
