If you can run Snow Leopard, I highly recommend it. If unable to run that one, Leopard is worth it, also. OTOH, I'd recommend selling the Kindle, prepare to sell the oldest Mac you have, take in washing for a couple of months and then buy a new iMac! yes.gif rofl.gif

I don't own a Kindle, so I can't sell it. I hate doing laundry, so that's out. Next expense for me from my wish list is a camera. It's shiny and orange and that's what I've asked for for my birthday (several months down the road). A newer iMac has to wait. wink.gif

Don't know if I can run 10.6 on my iMac or not -- and honestly don't care at this point. harhar.gif I do have 10.5 (bought it from Apple for $9 right after I got my iMac), but I've not installed it because I have some older apps that won't run in 10.5 and I'm not ready or willing to give them up. I guess eventually I will have to do so ... but a FREE Kindle app isn't enough to get me to upgrade. laugh.gif

A couple of weeks ago I had an appointment with my audiologist (a big Mac fan!) and I was gave her a highly enthusiastic report of my initial several weeks with Kindle. Withn a smile, she whipped out her 3G iPhone – with equal enthusiasm – displaying its Kindle app.

I was very impressed by its clarity, but, since I'm no longer a road warrior, having a Kindle v.2 remains my reader-of-choice, absolutely.

Snow Leopard requires an Intel cpu, won't run on a PPC. Those apps must really be something if their keeping you away from Leopard! eek2.gif dntknw.gif
