And, me, I've just heard Bern needs here, a tune?
But, that's surely not me, with a sharp, flat or clef
Sending good wishes in the moments that are left.
For I "work" with words only, and those not too well,
In crafting best wishes to ole Bern and his Belle,
Yet strive here I must, 'cause they are good folks,
Bernie . . . the big-hearted guy...in The Mystery Joke..
If you're new to TS you've probably wondered,
What's this B-I-O-B I see sometimes thundered
Cross the 'net, so ephemeral, yet spread, oh so wide
That from it, even Bern, though he tries, cannot hide.
Y'see . . .with these 'puters, these devices, so fine,
There are puzzles that vex us, here...there...all the time,
Though TSers are ready to solve most with ease
Some resist the entreaty: "Off!. . . Go to Ha-des?"
So someone, I'll not tell, came up with the line,
That soon became current, just all of the time,
B-I-O-B when nothin' else works
And we're empty handed, like a passel o' jerks.
When solutions don't arrive with the ease that we'd like,
It helps to just Blame It On Bernie, and then take a hike,
As though that solved something, all covered in guile,
But Bernie's been willing to take it . . . and smile.
So to our Good-Natured Guy and His Lady, this day,
To celebrate their walk, hand in hand, down life's way
Here are wishes galore, by the ton, and miles high
Happy Anniversary . . . with roses so red, and bright sunny skies.
