I know it will boggle your mind, but I, too, found this same note on DealMac last evening after posting my TS query. I must be learning something!
Looks like it's the deal for me.
However, is this also a competitive situation. What about alternative brands? Does someone build a Cadillac and someone else a Yugo .. . no,make that Renault!
I really am clueless about these cards (but not about Renault)

This is what I have in my machine.
The 8500 is considered a step up for Gamers.
Better frame rates in Quake III.
This comes with the ADC connector for the Apple LCDs.
Does the 8500 need an Adapter for this do you know?
