Title: ScanMac offering their app for free

Sorry I didn't read TidBITS earlier today, they have a note that SecureMac offering their ScanMac app for free all day. It is in honor of Pirates Day. But you must access/download the app by midnight PST!!! Just visit their site and click the "Buy the app for $29.95" button. When you get to the order form enter PIRATE in the discount code box.

BTW, I had a problem with the original download, Speed Download complained hat the url wasn't valid. However, I went back to their site and downloaded the 'Trial' version and entered the registration code with no problem. I'm sure the next major upgrade (and maybe even the next update) will not be free, but "Free is good!"

You will have to provide the usual info (name, address [snail & email]) but no credit card numbers).

Thanks for the heads up. I usually read TidBITS in the morning, so I would have missed this.
