Just found a list of three that have been updated recently:

<Thunderbird 3.1> Free, tabbed messages, add-ons
<Postbox 2.0> $40, tabbed browsing
<Eudora OSE> Classic styling, familiar icons

I love the tabbed messages in Thunderbird. If MAIL would add this feature it would almost be perfect.

Gave up on Postbox, and doubt I'll pay to try the new improved - even with tabbed browsing; but I'd be interested to know if anyone else uses it and likes it.

Eudora OSE ... don't know. I love Eudora, but it's still a bit too new for me to trust it again.

Oops, my mistype ... meant Eudora OSE, and I've read a few reviews that make me a bit leery of it.
