Yes, I know ripping copy protected media is illegal but read through some of the arguments here to possibly see how in some cases ripping "may" be OK. Anyway, knowing how to rip or copy your own or non-protected media is useful info.

One Brit said he ripped only DVDs he had bought - for two reasons: as a backup, and so he didn't have to sit through useless trailers and an FBI warning about copying every time he watched it  rolleyes.gif
