I have been traveling so much I haven’t had much opportunity to read the boards. But I did want to share with you some happy news.
Anyway, last Sunday we celebrated our 40th anniversary, even though I was 2,000 miles from home. The day of the wedding it was -40° and our honeymoon only lasted one night. I couldn’t afford any more and I had to go back and finish the last month of college classes.
Oh to be young again?
-
Congratulations to you both!!!!!!
-
Yes, congratulations indeed; my wife and I have managed 25 years (26 on the 30th of March) and I'm going to be somewhat of an invalid for it. . .arm in an immobilizing sling for a torn rotator cuff surgery. . .won't be saluting for awhile after that, let alone dancing!
-
Congratulations!!! "-40...40 years ago!" Was that inside or outside?!!!
I can only hope things are a BIT warmer by now, at least inside!
-
Congratulations on 40 years of marriage!
That's no easy task.
-

Congrats on yours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We're having our 54th in July.
-
congratulations to you both, we had our 56th last month, our Ruby was the one to remember coz unbeknown to us at the time a sketch artist had been commissioned to sketch (over time)Rhoda and I when we were at a local hostelry and the finished sketch was presented to us on the anniversary evening at a local hotel.

So, George, that sketch apparently didn't cause any local scandals?
Or was it presented some 56 years later, when 'things' had returned to normal and many of the 'interested' people are no longer around!

We're working on Nr. 57 . . . albeit rather slowly.
Accordingly, our "deliberate" congratulations and best wishes.
